WOW. Seriously?? It's been since November since I've posted on here. Well, that's I guess a good thing because it meant that i was completely SWAMPED (in a very good way) from November until now. :) The Christmas season is always a busy time, but we love it and love being able to make your holidays great!

Just wanted to say that I am super excited for 2009 and looking forward to meeting new clients and of course seeing my 'regulars'--who are THE best clients in the world. I am so blessed.

wow! I have been so blessed to be super busy taking lots of pictures! I've got to get on here more and remember to blog to you in the blogging world.

Here are some recent pics....I've been having so much fun!

Ok, so i have another Target story. So, I can hardly to go Target without being completely drawn like a MAGNET to Starbucks to get a little latte to sip on while I stroll around. Best thing Target ever did....anyhow...So, I stop by and the little gal was so funny. First off she tried to put a lid that goes on a cold drink on my hot, non-fat white mocha-toffee nut latte, and she just giggled. I said "girl, it's okay...chalk it up to being Monday!" Then she said, "you know what...allergies are going around...my boyfriend has had some allergies..." I wanted to laugh and say, "you can't catch allergies!" She said "i've been making him some hot drinks, like cider...that's supposed to help, right?" I assured her that yes, the cider will help the "allergies" and sore throat. lol. So, even the baristas at Starbucks have "THOSE" Mondays.

I have some of the greatest friends in the world.....and they have some of the most beautiful children you've ever seen!!!

This is Addie and AJ. Their mom and I have been friends since we were little. Our friendship is timeless and some of my greatest memories are some of the crazy stuff we did growing up!

I LOVED taking pics of her kids....they are amazing and so funny! Love you, Seas.

This is Graham and Luke. I went to college with their mom and dad....seems like we should still be in college and not have 2 boys a piece! :) Time with them is so sweet....they are friends that time stands still for....seems like you've never spent time apart when we get together. Love you guys.

I love Mother's Day, but sometimes I still freak out and go "what in the world.....am I really a mom?!!!" It's a bit overwhelming somedays to sit and think of the huge responsibility that God has given me in 2 precious boys that I am in charge of raising. Wow. What a blessing yet what a scary thing. I definitely count it a huge blessing and love looking into their eyes everyday and doubling over in laughter because they are so hilarious. I love that Bennett is just like me (and his Pa Pa Alan) in that he gets that crazy look in his eye and just allows himself to act silly and not care. I love that Olson is SOOOOO my firstborn and has to have everything "just so" in his little world. I love that my boys are complete POLAR opposites. I had a great day yesterday...hope you did too. :)

Have you had that "wow I'm old" moment lately? I sure did. This is Zach. He is a Senior about to enter the college world next year. Zach's dad, "Dean Melton" as we used to call him...was Dean of Students at OBU, the college where my husband and I both attended. Dean was such a huge influence in our lives and was even a groomsman in our wedding. He and his wife Lana are amazing people with four, yes FOUR amazing boys (at least that's how I remember them....LITTLE boys running around the house!).

Zach will be the 2nd Melton boy to venture off to college.....and yes, we are so proud that you will be becoming a Bison!

The perfect "Target" morning

Ok, so I don't have a clue if anyone will read this and care, but I just thought I'd write about my morning. LOL.

So, my youngest goes to MDO on Tues/Thursday. I drop him off this morning and then had a few errands to run. My first being Target. I love Target. I know it seems that every "young" mom LOVES Target, but come on...it's fabulous. I walk in and make a bee-line for Starbucks (whoever thought to put one in Target deserves a medal). I order a VENTI (yes, I needed the caffeine) non-fat, white-mocha/toffee nut extra hot latte. Ok, so for you coffee drinkers...this drink will be in heaven. It was on the Barista recommendations one day at the mall and I thought what the heck, I'll try it. DELICIOUS. Anyhow.....the gal made it to perfection and I enjoyed every sip as I walked around slowly BY MYSELF enjoying just looking at stuff. I even got the guts to try on a bathing suit...lol...but hated it....but it didn't matter...I was having a great Target day. I found everything on my list, plus some (don't you know you always find extra stuff there....and you know you sneak in a shirt or some shoes with your groceries! hahaha).

What a good day it has been. :) Hope you've had a great one, too.

I met the sweetest couple, the Allens. They are expecting their 1st baby very soon in January. I am so blessed to be able to be a small part of their lives and helping them remember this time. I remember being pregnant with my first child and it's so funny how you just feel HUGE and not beautiful at all. But, I so wish I could've done maternity photos like these! I tell all my clients who are pregnant...you really will cherish these pictures. I promise!! LOL. Ashley--you are beautiful!

Meet Sloan. This is the sweetest little girl. She was so much fun!! And so very polite and pretty much made me want a little girl just like her! We went to the pond and she kicked up the leaves, did some twirls and we tried to feed the ducks but they flew away before we could get to them. :(

Tis the season for pictures!! I'll be posting more soon. I've done nothing but eat, sleep and dream pictures the past 3 weeks. It's been so much fun.

Well, Saturdays for us right now are crazy. Both of our boys are playing sports...Bennett is playing soccer and Olson is playing baseball (coach pitch!). Most of their games have been at the same time, so I've only gotten to see about 5 minutes of Bennett playing soccer =( (his team is the Geckos!). This is because his coach happens to be this very cool guy named...DAD! Yes, Brad is coaching 4-5 year old soccer. HAH! So, he has to be at all his games...so I am in charge of cheering on Ols at all of his games. Isn't it fun? I love it. I can already tell that I'm going to be one of those "yellers" at the games...not like a hateful yeller, just a yeller. I love rooting them on and seeing them hit the ball and get so excited. Olson is no. 56 and his team is the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Really?? I mean, why couldn't have he gotten to be the OU Sooners? Or the OSU Cowboys? Come on...this Oklahoma girl remembers football season and playing the Cornhuskers. My grandpa was a huge Husker fan...so I'm sure he's proud.

So, today...I'm off to the Husker game, then off to shoot a wedding in Dallas. WHEW. I know I'll be glad for my head to hit the pillow tonight.

OH---and I'm missing the OU-Texas game today. Who knows what will happen there. hah! It will probably be a good game since they both stunk it up last weekend, but GO SOONERS anyway.

Bennett's b-day!

My youngest son, Bennett turned 5 this week! That is so crazy to me. It seems like yesterday that he was so tiny. I told him on his birthday that I wasn't going to let him turn 5 until exactly 1:42pm since that's when he was officially born. :) He didn't quite "get" why he had to wait until after lunch to turn 5, but he went along with it for me, I guess. We happened to be at the grocery store (where he loves to push the small-kid carts and drive it like a race car around the store) when he officially turned 5. We were heading out to the car, and I stopped in the parking lot...scooped him up and hugged him really tight. I told him that I was NOT going to let him turn 5...this isn't possible! He gave me that "oh, mom!" look and said..."well, I guess I'm not 4 anymore! yippeee!!"

If only we could stop time. If only we could go back. But, this mommy knows how quickly the years have flown by and I know that I just have to cherish each and every second of every day that God gives me. I am so honored to be able to be a mom. It is amazing to me that God gives us these little lives to take care of and raise to be adults (wow!).

We had his party at a cool place here in Arlington called "Alley Cats."

a little too much sugar??

OK, so my Tuesday and Thursdays are my days to run around (Bennett is in MDO and Olson's at school all day). So, yesterday I decide to go to Target. I just love to push the cart around Target. I seriously think I could spend hours there. Whoever their marketing people are...they've gotten it right. What young 20 to 30-somethings don't LOVE Target??
Anyway, so I decide to get my "grande, nonfat cinnamon dolce" latte and a pumpkin spice muffin (oh my gosh...have you had one of these yet?? have them warm it up for you). So, I sit down in the little sitting area to eat my muffin and organize my calendar. Well, 2 workers from Target are chatting it up. One of them got a coffee and he is standing at the counter where all the "extras" that you add in are located. This guy starts dumping real sugar into his small coffee cup. I am not kidding....he stood there and I probably could've counted to 10 while he kept pouring. I could not believe it. THEN----THEN!!!!!!!! He added 2 more sweet-n-lows. THEN!!!!!!! He added some creamer. I so bad wanted to say "hey, man...would you like some coffee to go with that?" LOL! He is probably still going strong. I bet he never even went to bed last night. wow. I'm still amazed.

But, seriously...go try one of the pumpkin muffins at Starbucks. They are melt in your mouth good. Don't think about the calories...just savor it. There's no way it could have more sugar than what that guy dumped in his coffee.

Weddings!!!!! You gotta love them, right?? Well, this past weekend I got to play the piano for the wedding of a sweet couple in our church. It was so beautiful. Our friends, Paul and Shannon were there as well (he performed the ceremony) so it was so fun to get all dressed up and hang out for the evening. At the reception, they had a dance floor....so Brad and I definitely "cut a rug" for awhile to some great 80's music. We even did the "chicken dance." yes, really. You forget how much dancing will wear you out!

I also did a photo shoot of the sweetest little newborn. Samuel was so precious and lived up to all the fantastic newborn stuff, the sweet little hands and feet, the brand new little tiny cry, the baby lotion smell, and even giving us a good peepee and poopy right on dad! hah! It was great (not for him, of course), he is a pro-dad already it didn't even phase him. Here are some pics from the shoot.

YES! I am loving the weather. But, you know that it will probably get tricky on us and go back to 95 degrees! (we are in Texas in case you forgot) Oh well...i'm loving it while I can for now.

OK, so my son Bennett has discovered an old MP3 player of my husbands. He thinks it is the coolest thing ever. He walks around with the earbuds in and he'll try and tell us something and just be screaming without knowing it. lol! He was listening to music last night while I was getting dinner ready and he was just singing.....i mean the singing that you do when you don't think anyone is around kind of singing. Brad and I just looked at each other....it was the sweetest thing. He was singing "everywhere I go, I see You.......everywhere I go, I see You" (i think it is a worship song off Michael W. Smith's older worship cd.

I just love how innocent it was and needed to be reminded to SING more! Not just when I have to, but just because.

OK, so my other son, Olson is a 1st grader. He is starting to experience HOMEWORK this week for the first time. He is HATING it. So, I'm trying to be a good parent and right when he gets home from school each day, he gets a little snack and we sit down to do that day's page out of his homework packet. Well, yesterday Brad had a friend come by and so I let him go play first so I could visit for awhile. Of course, when I try and get him to do his homework, he just makes the biggest fuss. But it's so funny because when he finishes his work and does really well (he is so smart) he is so proud of himself!

Why do kids function so much better with a set routine?? I remember when I taught elementary music, I used to be amazed when the smallest thing got "out of whack" one day....it became absolute craziness. I guess most people do function best on a routine...I know I do.

Ok, so I'm finding that I'm forgetting to get on here and write something....or maybe I just don't know what to put. hah! I'm not like my friend Kathryn...I could read her blog all day. (you need to be a writer, Kat)
I am excited about some shoots coming up that I have booked. I get to shoot pics of a 12 day old on Friday. I just love newborns. There's something about them that just makes me smile. You know what I mean??? You know how it is when you haven't seen a newborn in awhile and they are just so dang sweet. They are just so tiny. I have 2 boys and you just will never remember how tiny they really were until you see a tiny tiny tiny newborn again. It reminds me every single time without fail how good God is and how amazingly unique he makes us.
I love all of their little noises and little feet and hands......and of course that lotion-ey baby smell. Yay! I can't wait until Friday. :)
I also get to be a part of a wedding Saturday. I'm not photographing this one, but playing the piano for it. I love playing....and I'm so glad I was asked....I'm reminded as I've been practicing this week how much I love it. Plus, it's always fun to get all dressed up, right?

FALL!

IS IT FALL YET??? Well, my answer is yes. I bought me a new fall yankee candle, "frosted pumpkin" and my friend Shannon and I of course took the plunge and had a "pumpkin spice latte" from Starbucks today. (yes, it was 87 degrees, but oh well!) I am all about fall. It is my very favorite time of year. I was in Oklahoma a couple of days ago visiting family and got a little too excited...it was cloudy and about 70 degrees with a little chilly wind. I LOVED it. So, I guess I'm just a little turbo-fall....oh well, deal with it! LOL.

Happy Labor Day! Hope you all are relaxing and just hanging out like we are. We've had the best "lazy day" so far. :) It's almost 2PM and I'm still in my pj's! Don't you love days like that?
We are going to hang out with friends tonight and cookout----yum...burgers! How can it be Labor Day weekend and not have some grillin out going on? Great....now my mouth is watering. I made some homemade chocolate-chip cookies earlier, so now my house is smelling delicious.
It is so quiet right now...my boys are napping...so I'm off to do some laundry. fun, huh? well...more later....have a good one.

Why the name JBelle??

OK, so everyone asks me..."why the name JBelle...where did that come from?" So, here you go...here's the story (the short version): Growing up, I had 2 girlfriends..Christa and Season. They are the best friends in the world and they are still my best friends today. They always called me "Judy-Belle" and actually we all called each other our names with "belle" tagged on the end....so thanks to Christy-Belle and Sneasy-Belle....that's where the name came from. :)

Hi there. OK, so I'm new to this blogging stuff, but I'm going to give it a try!!!! I have started my own photography business and that keeps me super busy these days. But, more importantly, I am a wife and mom....and that is the best job in the world!

We have gotten back into the routine of school...I actually have a 1st grader now (which does not seem possible...I'm still supposed to be 24---don't ask me why "24" I just always think that's how old I am in my own head!! hah!)

So, ready or not...fall is almost here (YAY! it's my favorite time) and so I'm busy scheduling for Christmas pictures and Christmas cards. CRAZY! Yes, I know...it's 97 degrees here in Texas today, but I've got Christmas on the brain already. We (my husband and i...he has a graphic design studio, so he is a huge part of my business) are making some sample Christmas cards and they should be up for viewing soon. Schedule your appointment today!!!
